Scented Models Own Polish?

Now, I could never have ever dreamed of something like a scented nail polish, it's never even crossed my mind. But Model's own have crossed that barrier and created something brilliant, pastel nail varnish's which smell like fruit -absolutely incredible!- I was very sceptical about these simply because I just couldn't see how they could overcome the smell of nail  varnish? But to be fair they have pulled it off, -I have been smelling my nails throughout the day, which is slightly weird...-
I love the packaging for models own polish's in general but these are just uber-cute! The scratch and sniff top is just a great idea, so you can smell which scent you're getting and the pastel coloured 'scented' around the lid is a cute touch. They come in 5 different colours/scents, Apple Pie, Grape Juice, Strawberry Tart, Blueberry Muffin and Banana Spilt -Banana Split is the one that I chose.
As you know, I am loving yellow nails right now, -I had a bright yellow, so all that was needed was a pastel! I did find it really hard to chose from these colours as there may be hype for them being scented but all in all I think the colours in the collection are fantastic themselves.

However one downside with this polish, is I found the finish to be a little bubbly, I'm not sure whether maybe the added scent mixes up the formula, as I've not had this problem with other models own polish's. Or maybe I was having an off day with painting my nails so I will be sure to update my opinion if it goes on okay the next time I use it. One last thing is that the smell only seems to last about a day, but I'm not really to fussed about that as I love the colour, but considering this is meant to be the main selling point for these it is quite a negative thing.

You should definitely check these out, they are some of my favourite coloured polish's I've seen for a while -and the scented part is obviously a plus-.
Until next time, becciixx.

Urban Decay dupe.

Now, I am one for a dramatic eye look -still need a bit of practise with that...- but I just think it adds a pop of glamour to your everyday make-up. To get a dramatic eye you need eye-shadows with a good pigmentation or all that effort will be for nothing if you can't even see it!
I do find it quite hard to justify spending a lot of money on make-up simply because, being a student, I need the money for other things! This is exactly why I haven't brought the Urban Decay Naked Palette's yet, so I did some research and found great dupes for both the Naked and Naked 2 for a fraction of the price!
MUA is a brand that is only available within Superdrug -or you can buy it from the MUA website-. I love a lot of their products as they are so affordable, really good quality and work just as well as more expensive ones. The dupes I found are palette's called Undressed and Undress Me Too, it may be a little bit cheeky that they even adapted the name to be similar but oh well! The best things about them is they are only £3 each, that's £6 for 24 different colours!
I've never actually owned the Urban Decay palettes so I'm sorry I can't show you swatches of them together so you can compare. Most picture of my make-up will have these eye-shadows featured a they are my go-toos.
I hope this helps you out if you were looking for a new palette or an actual dupe for the Naked ones!

Primark Jewellery.

Now, many people have mixed views about Primark -I myself have an extreme love for this high-street gem- but I know some people think that it's always tacky, copies other shops items and is just plain cheap - and not in a good way.-

Enough of my nonsense though, lets move on to the main shabang of this post! Primark jewellery just amazes me, it's such good value for money, yes it can discolour and yes it can break but for the price you just can't complain! And even then expensive jewellery can break, I've had many a piece that's more expensive than Primark jewellery that's not been great, it happens.

Anyway, I have an uncontrollable love for jewellery, so when I go into Primark I make a bee-line for the jewellery before I look at anything else. Most of these pieces I have here, are fairly recent finds so should still be available now.
This double cross necklace is fantastic for adding a stylish twist to a basic tee, and the cute bow and cameo ring are from sets of 6 rings that cost round about £2 which is just incredible.
This necklace has gold, rose gold and silver crosses, the perfect thing about it is that the clasp can attach to anywhere on the necklace making it as short or as long as you require. Again the skull and flower ring where from a 6 set of rings. I love contrasting a really girly piece of jewellery with tougher things like skulls, studs or crosses.
Both of these earrings I think were around the £2 mark maybe £3, but which ever price they were you can't complain about either of these!

I haven't realised until the end of this post that there's a cross theme running through it, I promise Primark does have other jewellery apart from crosses! These are just a few of my favourite pieces and -most of them just happen to be crosses.-
I hope I've made you Primark-phobes realise they do have some good stuff and are worth paying a visit every now and again!

See ya next time, becciixx

A spring jacket.

Now Spring is here -sort of- but you've got to make the most of the trends, especially the bright's, because before you know it it's going to be over. I don't really tend to stick to trends, I try to just wear what I want, even if it would be considered as last season! It's always very difficult to stay away from trends as all the high-street shops follow them, but I have no problems with following this trend as -to quote my blog- you got to love it!

My favourite thing about this jacket is the contrast between the bright coral and the knitted sort of texture of it. This in my opinion is the perfect spring jacket -for now anyway, until I get my hands on a yellow or mint jacket-. It's the perfect tone for me, as during the day the redness in my face can start to show through my foundation and bright colour can start to blend in with my face, which is not a good look! However this jacket really compliments my skin, so if you have pale skin that has a redness to it, this would probably be perfect for you too.
Just to make this jacket even better it has gold studding along the trim of the lapel, this just adds to the sophistication of it -as it's all in the details.- The zips on both sides of the jacket are a great twist rather than having the standard pockets that most jackets have.

You may have noticed I have avoided telling you the price and where it's from, simply because this is the cherry on the cake! It was £18, from George at ASDA, does it get any better than that!? If my memory serves me correct it is also available in black with white thread running through it, if you'd rather go for the monochrome trend rather than the bold brights.
I will soon have a Lookbook on my youtube featuring this jacket, so if you want to see it in action then check out that soon!

Hope you're doing well and I'll speak soon, becciixx

Ted Baker Sunniess.

I love love love sunglasses, so when my boyfriends mum surprised me with a little early birthday present I was over the moon! I spied these Ted Baker sunglasses in Tkmaxx and fell in love with them, the rounded style is just my favourite -been after them for donkeys years!- The tortoiseshell effect on them is also fantastic, it makes them not too black but also not quite brown, which is perfect as I am pretty darn pale! And obviously being Ted Baker was a pretty big bonus, as Ted is just ma fave and all my sunglasses are from Primark!

Tkmaxx is just fantastic, I could spend hours looking in there, but they are particularly good for sunglasses. As most things are in Tkmaxx because they have faults or are last season, this does not effect sunglasses, as I think they are just timeless and don't really go out of fashion! -Basically you always have to prise yourself away from them before you buy like a million!- Due to being in Tkmaxx through I fault or otherwise, they are always much cheaper than the RRP. Not sure how much the sunglasses cost but the are definitely a whole lot cheaper than being in Ted Baker  I've seen Steve Madden shoes, Gucci sunglasses and even some beautiful cheap wedding dresses!

So if you live in the UK and haven't been into a Tkmaxx, it's definitely worth having a nose around to see what you can find! And if you're from the US then I'm pretty sure that your equivalent is Tjmaxx so lucky you haha!

Be back soon, becciixx
